The Care Quality Commission stated in July 2024 that Prescribing of controlled drugs by non medical prescribers increased by 6 percent last year with over 5,440.585 items prescribed, and pharmacist prescribing by 10% with 2,908,340 items prescribed. Prescribing by Physiotherapists rose by 79% (July 2024)
