The plenary speakers include Andy Halden, chair, Levelling up Advisory Committee to govt, Prof Martin Green OBE, CEO of Care England speaking on levelling up between health and social care, Prof Jill Manthorpe CBE from Kings college London on levelling up in research and finally Sir Norman Lamb, chair SLAM NHS trust on levelling up between physical health and mental health and and Marcella Phelan MBE on care experienced children and young people.
Majority of our staff and students come from BAME background and levelling up is a serious consideration and a very real challenge due to their socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds as well as variable health outcomes. Hence the sessions would lead to some really interesting discussions.
