The team has been very busy since our Dignity Action Day back in February and we have celebrated quite a lot with Mothers Day, Easter and Dementia awareness week, to name just a few.

Dementia awareness week was a success and the Alzheimers society offered to give support to anyone finding it difficult to understand or come to terms with the illness. We had lots of leaflets and booklets to give out and we had a barbeque. The week proved to be very helpful to lots of people.

We had nominations for Carers Awareness Week, where all the staff nominated the person they thought had gone the extra mile. Karen Pinnington was nominated the winner and presented with her certificate by the Home Manager Bev Leadbetter. She goes above and beyond the call of duty, is always willing to help where she can, and just yesterday at the young age of 57, she and some of the team climbed mount Snowdon to raise money for the residents fund. Congratulations to Karen.

We now have our thinking caps on for the next upcoming events, giving our residents the quality of life they deserve.
