Dignity Action Day

We had the most fabulous day celebrating and with the support of our residents and Community Nursing Team the day was a great success. We decorated our 'Tree of life' with post it leaves with what dignity means to each individual person. We had an open discussion about how important Dignity is and tucked into some delicious cake. Our community nursing team came to support us with 7 of the team and also added comments to the Dignity tree, we felt this was a real community spirit and for residents to maintain confidence in outside agencies along with our team at The Anchorage.

The tree is now visited by staff, residents and relatives so we can see some of the many different views and how to support each other. We have The Dignity Do's in A5 laminate format so everyone can be aware of what we are to achieve at all times. We plan to hole other events throughout the year incorporating our vision to promote Dignity in care.
