Dignity in Care Month at Askham Village Community
Dignity in Care is a huge and important part of Askham Village Community. From the manager taking responsibility for ensuring their staff provide a dignified service to the care assistants who are involved directly with residents and represent each care home, the care we provide and the way we do it are the standard by which residents measure whether they have been treated with dignity and respect. We value dignity so much that we encourage each member of our team to become a Dignity Champion.
This Dignity in Care Month is complex. Askham supports and does its best to ensure that each member of our staff is trained to cover all best practice areas: communication, respect, privacy, autonomy, social inclusion, diversity and equality, pain control, eating and nutrition, personal hygiene, personal care, abuse, whistle blowing, end of life care.
Our posters are designed to emphasise key principles when discussing about Dignity in Care.
