Marillac Care

The Marillac decided to celebrate its Dignity in Care morning in conjunction with the anniversay of our Patron, St Louise de Marillac on March 15th. The morning was intended to be an informal gathering of staff, residents, families and associated professionals where there was a common sense of sharing of what dignity means to each of us. A resident's Father stood and spoke of what it means to him and his family in relation to the care his Son receives here, a Carer wrote a moving poem which was truly inspirational and Mayor Sleep who was able to join us also spoke of what dignity meant to him. At one stage there were nearly 100 people present and was a thoroughly enjoyable, thought provoking morning.
