Beautiful, Beautiful Brown Eyes ......
Annies Alpacas visited Pelham House on Friday and in a small way made a dream come true for one of our dear bed bound residents. This particular resident has a deep love of animals and although she did not tell us what her dream might be, we know we made a few minutes really special for her.
Annies Alpacas are friendly, gentle and curious animals who love a fuss from people, and even more so when you have a few bits of carrots in your hand. These gentle quite animals are very used to visiting Care Homes and Hospitals and while they were with us yesterday all the residents got to share in the fun of meeting them.
Yes, in case you have already heard, we had a little bit of a dilemma, as once up the narrow stairway the beautiful creature was very nervous about coming down. We therefore had him on the landing for a little longer than anticipated, but with his lovely handlers and Annie herself caring for him, he was carefully and safely brought down and returned home.
A big thank you to Annie and her team for bringing these beautiful creatures with the most adorable gentle brown eyes to visit us.
