DAD in Southend
The Dignity Respect Action Group (DRAG) held an awareness event in the main Outpatient area of the hospital.
The display included all of the initiatives that have been introduced in the hospital since the DRAG group was formed.
There was a board where patients, visitors and staff could leave comments on what they had seen or experiences they had in the organisation. This provided very rich data which the group will work on in the coming year.
The chair of the group Roz Blackboro said on the day ' Everyone in the hospital- staff, patients and vistors- has the right to be treated with Dignity and Respect and everyone has a role to play'
The day was a great sucess and the Associate Director of Nursing will be supporting this as a yearly event within the organisation.
