Annual General Meeting 2021 Summary

In October we held our annual general meeting, and open event for champions.

The Annual General Meeting saw confirmation that despite the challenges of the pandemic the Council has continued to be active, both in developing new resources, such as the feedback postcards, and training pack; and in ensuring the Dignity remains high on the agenda through our collaboration with partner organisations and attendance at conferences and other discussion forums.

Whilst still in receipt of no grant funding The Council has continued to do its utmost to connect with champions, holding zoom events, maintaining the website, distributing the newsletters and discussions on its popular face-book page Dignity in Action.

Financial support from Spectrum Consortium has been very welcome, enabling the continued free of charge distribution of the dignity feedback postcards.

The open part of the meeting saw presentations on A Training Pack on Dignity developed by the Council; information about one provider’s [Davlyn House] approach to activities for their residents; and feedback from Skills for Care on some recent research they had conducted on the impact of the pandemic on providers.
