It’s a pleasure - Care homes coming together
We recently were lucky enough for residents from three local care homes to enjoy an afternoon of song and fun.
A choir from our local U3A (University of the Third Age) volunteered to put on a performance for care homes, they are a group of wonderful people who are called Singing for a Pleasure and what a pleasure it was.
Residents from local care homes, Davlyn House, Springbank and St, Micheals all came together along with carers and volunteers to enjoy the show. Grateful thanks to Village Church who provided the venue.
The choir performed some golden oldies and some classic songs we enjoyed a vast range of difference songs, from Abba, the Beatles, and The Greatest Showman, lots of fun was had by all with everyone joining in and singing along, actions to YMCA were performed by everyone with great enthusiasm. Concluding with a rousing finale of Sweet Caroline – the roof almost came down.
We enjoyed good company, lots of cakes and tea and everyone left with a spring in their step having made new friends and having had a memorable afternoon.
Not sure who enjoyed it the most the choir for the joy they gave to all present or the audience who had a very special afternoon. A massive thank you to al who made this day happen.
