News from Champions - Spring/Summer 2023

Our Champions continue to astound us with their imaginative and innovative ways of bringing stimulation and interest to those they support.

MADE WELL had a Makaton Choir Performance on Tuesday 16th May in their barn. This performance was for community members, parents, carers and family members. [Makaton is a language programme that uses symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate! Using Makaton with songs transforms singing into a fun multi sensory learning experience. The members of the choir have been learning a variety of Makaton signs over the last few weeks and were super excited to perform to an audience! Makaton Choir Performance.

MARHAM HOUSE had an amazing Candy Land experience for their residents in June.

SHARED LIVES STOKE ON TRENT had a very full diary of activities celebrating their Shared lives week at the end of June.

MILFORD HOUSE took their residents to Royal Ascot, via the medium of television, and by the looks of it much fun was had by all.
