Covid testing in the NHS using a system currently non-validated by the manufacturer

As a very recent NHS patient it was compulsory for me to have a Sars-CoV-2-RHA on admission. I was advised the test was negative. On discharge I discovered the test had not been validated by the manufacturer. I feel I was coerced into having the test for commercial reasons. I feel my consent was wrongly obtained as I thought the test met the correct criteria. Have I been used for political means to statistically increase the number of tests performed.
