Dignity and Homeless!
Hello,
I would like to ask for some advice, I am working with Children within a primary school on a dignity project, but it needs to focus on "homeless" and the importance of Dignity.
I am looking for advice on aspects i can teach / talk to the children regarding this subject. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Hi Clare,
I've just copied your question over to the Dignity in Action Facebook page. The homeless get a very bad deal in general, and their access to things such as decent healthcare tends to be poor. I feel sure that 'dignity' is even more of a challenge than access to healthcare - sadly I can't immediately think of a useful response to your question, but with luck you might get some helpful feedback,
Best wishes, Mike Stone

Sally Hastigs Their was an interesting post on fb recently talking about what homeless people needed apart from food and shelter. Stuff like for women sanitary hygiene products, for men disposable razor, soap, disposable toothbrushes / toothpaste, socks, underwear. Stuff that they would not buy for lack of funds. Other things were listed. I think a charity posted the list.

Lynne Johnson Sorry, pressed enter too early! the amnesty resource isn't the correct subject matter, but the structure and flow of the activities are very good and the language can be adjusted to be entry 3 (its a bit higher than that)
