I recently sent an email in about a few issues in Mental Health care. I know my email was received but since then silence. Funny enough my email was about Communication and it would be nice if DIC could send back some kind of acknowledgement to our emails when possible.
Hello George , I also am very intrested in adult mental health , sadly I missed your email and what I am finding difficult is to navigate my way round this site and locate any of the dignity champions previous messages including your original message . Could you re send it on this thread and I could read it please , maybe the administrators of this site could explain how I can locate it . thanks Irene Bramwell
I am afraid i can not resend because it was direct on the reply page on DIC. Its basic content was that I believe that some funders do not do monthly audits on mental health placements, but leave it up to the providers to supply any infomation on the ongoing treatment of patients. Of course the providers in the private sector don't because they would lose the funding for that particular patient. This means there can be people in care in various places that could be supported at home but because of the lack of communication are incarerated for long periods of time for no reason. There also seems to be a lack of communication between funders, social services,county services and others in regard to patient care each doing their own thing regardless of the overall picture. I would like to do some research into how true my experiences of the above nation wide.
