Training
Since the conference, which I unfortunately could not attend, I have been inundated with requests for The Dignity Champions' training and have successfully trained over 80 people from a variety of care settings to date.
I wanted to let you know that as well as my ongoing 'Dignity' work, I am now delivering two exciting new and very relevant courses;
Dementia Care/ Awareness - in line with the government's recent Dementia Strategy - certified and assessed by the Alzheimer's Society.
End of Life Care, which introduces the Gold Standards Framework and Liverpool Care Pathways, as well as looking at basic care needs and support for staff working with people at the end of life.
Details of these courses and other training are available on my website;http://www.caremanagementsupport.co.uk.
Well done Jan.

Is there anything relevant for Radiographers? I have signed up as a
Dignity Champion for the Leicester Breast Care Centre at Glenfield
hospital.
With Thanks
Karen
Hi Karen,
If you have a think about the areas that cause you concern in your new
role, i.e; confidentiality, how dignity is maintained in treatment
areas etc. I am happy to develop a training session for you in this
important area. I imagine it would be a half day, and could involve
all staff including nursing and reception for example.
Let me know your thoughts.
Kind regards
Jan Foster
