Hi Paula,

You might - if you are a member of Facebook - also find some discussion on the Dignity in Action Facebook group page at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/289089744481097/

I recently set up a Facebook group - new, only 8 members so far - of my own, with the stated aim as expressed by its name of being 'A Discussion Group to try and improve End of Life Care and Behaviour'. I would be very pleased if you wanted to share some of your ideas on my group's page at (you can also upload files to Facebook groups - a facility sadly no more, here on DIC):

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1722859091289711/

and I'm sure DiA would also like you to share ideas on its website.

Best wishes, Mike

Hi Paula,
Thank you so for much for your email. We are also looking forward to working with yourself to ensure that we provide a happy home for our Residents here in our care, by ensuring that the kitwood flower is the heart of a Person Centred Care Plan and our Residents have a flower in full Bloom. By us all Sharing information I hope that this can benefit our Residents and develop our own knowledge and skills further.

Mair

Paula,

As a nurse who works with dementia patients, I'm wondering what you make of my piece/question at:

Welcome to the forum Paula. I can recommend the articles etc. that Mike Stone provides links to -they're usually really interesting.

Very kind Wendy - that lightened my 'default gloomy' mood, at the start of this week.

I can give any 'normal person' who wants to get senior NHS people to engage in some discussion, a 'tip'. It helps a lot, if what you initially send [by e-mail] is not only 'apparently right', but is also 'interesting' - unless you are 'interesting', in my experience your chances of getting a response are much lower.

I would add a warning, about my pieces: I try to make them interesting, but they do often (I have no choice about this, in the context of what I'm debating) get 'quite techy/nerdy'.

Wendy's comment, has lifted my mood (whereas the French Open, went the opposite way).
