Door knockers for all bedroom doors

Stratford Court residnetial home, owned by the Order of St John Care Trust have set a programme in motion to personalise the environment for residents.

Door knockers were bought for all of the bedroom doors. This has helped to promote privacy within the home, reminding staff that they are entering an individuals personal space. It is good practice for staff to knock a residents door before entering, having a knocker on the door really does ensure that staff respect the fact that they are entering personal space, an individuals home.

Promotion of privacy in the home is very important to ensuring that dignity is promoted for all the residents.
