Somerset LINk Enter & View Team Dignity in Care good practice booklet

The Somerset LINk Enter & View Team have written a booklet packed with examples of good practice of dignity in care in residential homes for older people.

The aim of our project was to identify and share good practice examples that relate to the "Social Care Institute for Excellence" publication: "The Dignity Factors".

24 homes of different sizes and provision were visited across Somerset and many of the good practice examples that we have found are given in this booklet. We hope these examples will inspire staff, residents and visitors to find new ways to enhance the dignity of older persons in residential care.

During our visits they heard from residents, visitors and staff about the value of a flexible and varied activities programme and have also included a list of suggested activities to give you ideas for your own activities programmes.
