Sing and Share

We had a "Sing and Share" afternoon at Leighton House for Dignity Action Day.

We invited in another residential home in the area, which caters for adults with learning difficulties, to join us in an afternoon of singing and dancing, with the help of one of our fantastic visiting entertainers, Anthony Castleman.

Our residents really enjoyed meeting the young adults and enjoyed singing along and having a dance with them.

The young adults really engaged with our older residents and enjoyed chatting to them.

After the entertainment had finished we all enjoyed sharing tea/coffee, cakes and chats.

One of our residents had a visitor pop in during the afternoon, and said how lovely and lively the afternoon had been.

Our residents all commented on how nice it was to have so many nice new visitors in.

It really was a lovely afternoon, and it was so nice to see both age groups so engaged with each other.
