Christopher Grange

On February 3rd Christopher Grange celebrated National Dignity Day, Dignity in care is something which is very close to our hearts and what a better way to celebrate this by getting staff ,residents and visitors alike to join in with us to commemorate this important event to help raise awareness.

The day itself was marked with a “Dig-ni-tea” afternoon and residents and their families were invited to join us in our “Market Place” for a “Tea Party” with sandwhiches and some tempting looking cakes!

The afternoon started with residents and staff reading poems quoting what dignity means to them and how they should be valued and respected as individuals.

Residents were also asked there views on “Dignity” and their interpretation of what it means to them, these views were then recorded and put up on our “Dignity Tree” for all to read over the next twelve months.

We also held a craft and reminiscence display, there was also display boards showing “A day in the life of Christopher Grange” and an illustration of the 10 Point Dignity Challenge, and pamper sessions were also available to all our residents.

Our resident pianist Sydney Wilson provided the music and the day was a huge success so well done to everybody who came along on the day.
