ELM TREE COURT DIGNI

Yesterday we held our Digni-Tea at Elm Tree Court and we believe it was a great success.

In the week leading up to the event customers and staff made bunting with Wallpaper samples and ribbon, walked miles distributing leaflets/invitations and talked to everyone and anyone about what Dignity was all about and why we were inviting them to Elm Tree Court.

Yesterday we buttered bread, iced buns and prepared for what we hoped would be an onslaught of guests. And they arrived – we even ran out of seats.

There was a great deal of chatter, tea-drinking and knitting going on and everyone appeared to have a lovely time.

During the afternoon staff raised the awareness of Dignity in Care by handing out Dignity In Care 10 point challenge cards to start conversations with our visitors about how important we believe Dignity is at the forefront of everything we do.

Hopefully we have recruited a few people to join us on Wednesday mornings for Knit and Natter, where we sit and knit (or do word puzzles or make pom-poms or nothing) and natter away about anything and everything – putting the world to right over some great coffee and biscuits.
