Lancashire Teaching

Staff at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals aimed to raise awareneess of the dignity in care campaign through poster campaigns and encouraging staff to sign up as dignity champions. Over 50 staff have now signed up as dignity champions. Other events on the day included coffee and cakes with patients, patient surveys, newsletters, listening to patients stories of care, pamper sessions, pledges, distribution of dignity cards and displays of dignity work in clincal and non clinical areas.

Many staff participated in the activities of the day which they found very rewarding. A further dignity day is planne for later in the year.
