1st Anniversary

We delayed our day so it would coinside with our 1st anniversary of being champions.Four homes in Hillingdon were brought together to have 8 training sessions on dignity in care a year ago. Since we completed our crash course we have continued to meet every month to support each other. On March 18th we held a birthday party at one of our homes to celebrate a year of being champions. The Mayor of Hillingdon opened the event and it was also attended by age concern, our dignity lead for Southern Cross- Wendy Averill and the Managers from the four homes. All the homes contributed to the food which included a birthday cake with our logo for the event DIGN1TY. We had a good time and the residents from the host home enjoyed themselves and the party atmosphere.

We are already planning our next event for the summer and look forward to holding it in one of the other four homes.
