Cranwood Residential

This took the form of an open day to which families and friends of Cranwood residents were invited along with members of the community who were interested in discovering what "Dignity Awareness" was all about also visitors from other homes. The event proved very successful. A group of gospel singers and old time songs provided the entertainment.

Residents took an active part in helping to make cakes for the sale for the "Cake Stall" and manned the stalls for both the Cake and Tabletopsale stall. Staff contributed by making a number of cakes as well-all of which was sold on the day.

A buffet lunch was provided and there was foods from the Caribbean,Mexico,India as well as the UK and was declared "delicious" by all who tasted it.

Raffle tickets were sold by the residents and staff- the proceeds of the day will but little extras on outings etc.

Altogether on the day we made £150 wich as we said will go towards outing, bingo prizes etc.

At the end of a busy but rewarding day it was felt that the day had been a huge success.
