Feedback on Dignity
Our challenge at Harrogate District Hospital our challenge was to get feedaback from over 100 patients/hospital attendees about their thoughts on what dignity meant to them, and how they felt we treated them with regard to dignity in our hospital. We had hospital staff and volunteers using questionnaires to ask the following questions:
1. What does dignity mean to you?
2. How does being treated wtih dignity make you feel?
3. Has there been a person or department who made you feel especially well cared for, and if so what did they do?
4. What else could we do to promote dignity in our hospital?
The day was a great success as we recieved feedback from over 270 people, and also post-it notes on a display that was manned in our front entrance.Comments were very positive. Feedback will be shared with staff, and suggestions arising from the last question, will be disussed by our network of Dignity Champions and any actions arising from this will be taken forward.
