Memory Book
What do you see?
What do you see when you look at me,
Am I just a person or someone that you love,
Do you see me for what I am instead of who I used to be.
Every day is a constant struggle,
Feeling worry and woe,
The thought of getting up fills me with such sorrow.
I have family and friends but do you really care,
Because to you I'm not really all there,
You will plead with me to try,
Your hard words sometimes make me cry,
I think to myself who am I to kid,
Would you show me more respect if I did.
So what do you see when you look at me,
I am the same person I used to be.
