Give Half An Hour

Cream Health & Social Care asked all our staff to give half an hour of their time at the beginning or end of the shift to make the day special for one resident/service user. Below is a report from one of our support staff.

"For Dignity Day I've spent 30 minutes of my own time showing a resident at the home where I've been working my photo album and various autographs I acquired years ago whilst I was a guide at the former Alton Towers Gerry Anderson Exhibition as he is a big fan of some the TV shows that held exhibits there including Space 1999 and Captain Scarlet. His eyes lit up when recognised the props such as the full size moon buggy and FAB 1 vehicle. It also helped form a better link between us as the resident knows we have similar interests"
