Birds Hill Home
Birds Hill Nursing Home hosted an afternoon tea and classical recital with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for residents, staff, friends and family. The Day highlighted the need to ensure that people who receive care are treated as individuals, are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives, and are provided with stimulating and fun activities.
During the day residents were also encouraged with staff, friends and family to write a positive thought/comment/memory about their life on a tree leaf, this was then added to our dignity tree of life display.
Everyone had a fantastic day and when it was finished staff and family could not believe what some of our residents have done in their lives, really amazing lifetime achievements, we all felt very honoured that they had shared these special moments with us!
